The Artist

About

I am an artist with many creative interests.

Martine Gaudissart is a contemporary visual artist who blends analog and digital processes, progressing from paper sketches into layered digital compositions.

The Artist

Bio

Born in Boston, raised in France, and trained in Belgian art schools, Martine uses her multimedia skills for various industries.

She holds a Master of Science in Video Games and Interactive Media (CNAM-ENJMIN 2006) and spent years teaching Photoshop, Maya, and 3DS MAX.

The Artist

Art Evolution

Pencil on paper, then digitize.

Martine draws her primary influence from the flat colors and bold contour lines of the classic European graphic novels (bandes dessinées) she loved as a child.

She presents her color studies as unique, limited, and open-edition prints on metal.

The Artist

Art Statement

Mindful Abstract Doodle Art or M.A.D. Art.

Martine begins with ink or pencil sketches on paper, then transforms them into layered digital designs and abstract patterns through photo manipulation techniques. Her work challenges categorization.

The Artist

Philosophy

Martine has always embraced new technology—beginning with digital photo-manipulation software, later 3D tools, and, as of 2026, AI-assisted creations—while continuously pushing the artistic boundaries of her original drawings.

Her independent projects include two animated musicals produced by Black Orb Studios: Runaway Cricket (2030) and Wondrous (2034).

The Artist

365 Days

Project: 365 Days of Ana Lisa.

Martine usually starts her compositions from abstract drawings, but an online competition inspired her to weave figurative lines into “Ana.” She later expanded the piece into Ana Lisa—365 (+1) color compositions, one for every day of the year—finding the color research just as enjoyable, if not more so, than the drawing itself.

The Project

365 Days of Ana Lisa

One drawing. One color scheme for each day of the year. 365 different moods (+1 for leap year).

The Project

The Original

This warm yellow skin with red lips version was the original artwork.

Music albums by Hhed Troma

In 2024, a spark caught fire when I set my friend's wedding vows to music using Suno. That one track spiraled into a 19-song catalog across three full albums for Hhed Troma—a fictional band named after Chase's brother a Runaway Cricket The Musical character, and three friends whose initials (H-H-E-D) combine to spell out Hhed and Hhed Troma was born.

Music Videos

I created 3D animattion videos from the musical Runaway Cricket, Tonight and The Big Great Life. Then I used A.I to animate and integrate my Waiting At the Bus Stop artowrk in Hhed Troma's song Average.

Video Games

I started my entire digital endeavor by working as a clean-up artist in the mid-1990's and in a way this is not far from the process I use now in my own art. The animation was created on paper by a traditional animator then each animation frame was scanned and digitally cleaned and colored by someone like me before making it into the game. See what I worked on IMDB or LinkedIn.
